A complete proposal should include all of the following:
- One-page signed cover letter
- Legal name and address of applicant organization
- Contact person and telephone number
- Date of establishment, brief history, and mission statement
- Unique aspects of program and relationships to other similar programs
- Purpose and amount of grant requested, project budget, substantiation of need and anticipated results
- Funding sources and amounts
- Names and occupations of board of directors and officers
- Financial statement for most recent year end (preferably a copy of audit)
- Most recent copy of IRS letter of tax exemption with tax identification number
- Current and/or proposed income and expense budget
- Only one copy of the request needs to be submitted, and it should be noted if any parts of the proposal are to be returned. Please do not put proposals into ringed or sealed binders or include videos.
- The Foundation does not accept proposals sent by FAX or e-mail.
- Presentations are made to staff rather than board members. As a part of the evaluation process, an on-site visit will be conducted whenever possible.
- The Adolph Coors Foundation Board of Trustees generally meets three times a year to consider requests.
Deadlines are March 1, July 1 & November 1.
- If a grant is approved, a grant agreement is required.
